Charleston by bicycle article a winner in North American Travel Journalists competition

The North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) has named Wandering Rose Travels a bronze award winner in the 28th Annual NATJA Awards Competition. One of the world’s most prestigious designations in travel journalism, the competition honors the best in travel journalism, photography and destination marketing.

The article, Explore Charleston by bicycle, wins bronze in the Health and Wellness Travel category. Other category winners include Outside Magazine and the Matador Network.

“It has been a great honor to witness the growth and influence of the North American Travel Journalists Association Awards throughout the years,” states Helen Hernandez, CEO of NATJA. “Prestigious and well-respected publications, travel journalists and influencers, submit their work to be judged by professionals. These submissions exemplify their ingenuity, creativity, and capacity, which provides a sense of pride to be a part of this transformative industry.”

Winners were scheduled to be recognized at the annual North American Travel Journalists Association Conference and Marketplace in San Juan Puerto Rico, but that event is on hold because of COVID-19 precautions.

Founded in 1991, NATJA is a travel journalism industry leader that fosters high quality journalism by supporting the professional development of its members, providing exceptional program benefits and valuable resources, honoring the excellence of journalism throughout the world, and promoting travel and leisure to the general public.
